Normally I don't like embedding external media into my site, but I thought with the proliferation of cool stuff floating about YouTube and Google Video these days, why the hell not?

For your viewing pleasure:

The new offering from Valve is a revolutionary game called "Portal". Instead of the traditional FPS shoot-em-up that we're all used to, Valve have redefined the way we interact with the environment to breathe some fresh air into the genre.

What would you do if you had asong, 8 treadmills and a dash of inspiration? Why, make a music video, of course! Original as it is funny.

This apparently was another one of those "Internet Phenomenons" around April or so (you know, like the Badger thing, All Your Base, etc). I can't believe I missed it (or can I?).

Clickedy on the picture to have your brain washed clean.

If you feel like you could just stick it on in the background and listen to it all day, that's okay - I feel that way too.

The tune itself is a fragment of a Finnish folk song called Ievan Polkka, sung by Loituma. Next up is a video of the folks from Loituma singing the full song (although the sound isn't very good)

Well that's all for tonight! Stay tuned for another exciting episode of Shit Chris finds on teh Internets!

Just after Christmas I started sharing Jono's World of Warcraft account so that I could give it a try, and play online with Michele. Up until two weeks ago, I had levelled up a Night Elf Hunter to level 24. Then, two weeks ago, we decided to form a guild and start playing regularly with some of the people at work. The problem was, Jono also wanted to play at the same time, so I finally had to buy my own account.

We're playing the Horde faction, and I'm playing a Tauren Druid. Druid's kick ass, but I'm hanging out for level 20 so I can get my cat form. After playing my Night Elf for so long, it's nice to play a different character and class. I'm thinking of creating a new character somewhere, possibly a Rogue.

My South Park character

What's your South Park character?

In other news, when Peter (from work) stopped by on Sunday before we all headed out to the Duck Stein for Niall and Leesa's wedding celebration, he got curious about the contents of my sword bag. So I then started getting it all out to show him (hey, he asked!). As I started to take my sword out, both he and Jono moved to the other couch, away from me.

Why does everybody keep doing that??

My bash.org quote seems to be picking up a large number of votes, which just goes to show that people will click on anything.

At least I didn't post the other one:

<@pyro> phwoar, this orange liquor from venise is awesome

<@pyro> like a party in my mouth and everyones invited

<@judas> I'll come!

At this rate, it even looks like it might hit the top 200, where it'll stay briefly until something funny actually comes along. Oh well.

Finally! An RPG I can play! My IdleRPG character seems to be doing nicely, having attained level 24 in Pimp Ninja Piracy after only one and a half days! Finally, a way to get recognition for all that idling I do on IRC.
