I finally got off my arse and got an adsl account, but not with my old buddies at iiNet, but at my older pals at Westnet. See, I used to be with WestNet back in the day when they were relatively new, but after a billing dispute I took my business elsewhere (an issue which they've since solved the cause of). It left a bitter taste in my mouth at the time, but now I'm back with adsl!

And it's fast!

Don't get me wrong, I'm well used to having blindingly fast internet connections - at my work. But at home it's a different story. See, at home I've been used to crappy slow-assed modem connections since 1996. It's a bit of a jump, you see. I'm not used to clicking on things at home and having them pop up almost instantly. It's freaking me out. I just suppose I'll have to get used to it...
