It's still weird having short hair. It doesn't handle the same way, and I can't fidget with it the way I used to. It is much easier to care for though. It's much better than before, so I think I can handle it.
The new year rings in nothing in particular. About the biggest significance that it has for me is that I have to remember to write '2004' instead of '2003' now. Christmas was nice, though. Apart from the mass commercialism that drives me insane, I enjoyed the festivities. (I guess that's what christmas is all about. Why the commercialism then?) I got lots of cooking gear though. I wonder if they're trying to tell me something?
Whatever.
I purchased a New Bike last week. It's a shiny mountain bike, and I got all the fruit with it (except a bike stand - doh!). I plan to ride to and from work on it, and take the occasional (more more often than occasional) ride around the river (or whereever). In fact, I started that trend this morning. Took my 15 minutes to get to work, and another 15 to get back. I guess once I get used to it a bit more I'll actually be able to make it up the hill to my apartment without my legs turning to jelly, but I guess that'll have to wait. I've already been having lots of fun on it though, and I think it's a worthwhile investment.
