Sitting on the lounge room couch at my mums place, waiting for easter dinner to be served up (I'm such a slack bum, not helping out or anything), typing away on the laptop.

My brother just gave me a copy of "Hand Maid May" to, uh, review, and it's slightly wrong. Has some adult/teenager themes running through what would otherwise be something suitable for kids to watch. I find it mildly disturbing, but more than a little humerous :)

Looking at the Megatokyo Think Geek, I'm regretting that I maxed out my credit card on a stereo system yesterday (only cost a grand!). That Pirogeth Poster looks really nice! So does that book bag, and the blanket. I must suppress visions of my house with block mounted posters hanging from the walls, suspended over endless wall cabinets containing a plethora of anime and manga paraphernalia. mmmm.

I'd say that I've got to do something about all this spending, but who am I kidding? I love buying this stuff!

I do need to watch the pennies though. Purchases such as the stereo system need to be budgetted for. My typical mode of operation is to want, then buy, then suffer (albeit not much) financially for the next two weeks until my next pay check. That's what you get for living in a comfort zone. At the end of the day though, I have no remorse for what I do with my money. If you can't enjoy it, something is not right (#include "reality.h").

Earlier, mum handed me an interesting book on the style of modern Japanese culture. The imagery and descriptions in the book really do show the contrast between western and eastern culture when it comes to their enviroment. Interestingly, reading a book like that makes you more aware of your own cultural values. That's something that I'd like to explore more. I think I'll be checking that book out of the library to have a good read.

So what else does one do while sufferring a religious holiday that you don't subscribe to?
